Sandridge STAR Program

As well as a teaching stable, Sandridge is an active competitor barn.  We primarily compete in Eventing (Horse Trials).

Geared toward serious and committed riders.  It's designed to suit competitive riders who are prepared to make the commitment to achieve a high level of competence and excellence.

Competitors are working on developing advanced skills and competing; they are required to either have or lease their own horse.  There are discounted lesson package rates for multi-weekly lessons.

IT IS IMPORTANT TO UNDERSTAND THAT THIS PROGRAM IS ENTIRELY VOLUNTARY.  No one is required to participate if they don't feel the program is right for them.

Participants are required to take 2 lessons per week minimum - 1 dressage & 1 jumping.

We will help you advance your goals with a competitive program tailored to your needs.  Goal setting, show strategies and mental training will help you develop the edge you are looking for.  The STAR competitive program runs 12 months of the year.  When the Florida Program commences, Sandridge Stables brings in high-calibre coaches to work with athletes who decide to stay in Alberta.

Group & Private/Semi-Private Dressage lessons are on Tuesdays, and jumping classes are on Wednesdays & Thursdays.  Tricia also offers regular cross-country clinics either onsite on our home cross-country field or at other local venues.  Additionally, she offers her Spring Fever clinic every year on the May long weekend at the Prentice Creek facility.

Serious competitors may want to consider the FLORIDA PROGRAM, which is an intensive 3-month training program in Ocala, Florida every winter from January to the beginning of April.  Spend the winter training and campaigning in the sunny south and come back with a great head start on the competitive season here!  For details, contact Tricia directly.
